I have been collecting an army load of football, baseball, and hockey inserts and game used.  It’s time to do another contest.  Since baseball is coming up soon, name your favorite team, and which minor leaguer you think will make a big impact this season.  For example, I’ll use the Blue Jays and Brett Wallace.  It’s that simple, if you win, I will give you a list of cards to chose from, just give me a sport.  Deadline for entries in Monday night at 9pm.  Good Luck!

    Fun contest!!

My team is the tigers and my prospect will be the ever talented Jacob Turner. Here is hoping we can hold on to a division lead this year!

  2. nick Cee says:

New York Yankees- Jesus Montero. Don’t be surprised to see him the majors mashing 20-35 home runs very soon

  3. I guess I get to lead off. Houston Astros and one I think will help the Astros and solidify their catching Jason Castro. Astros and Jason Castro.

  4. Offy says:

    Casey Kelly – Red Sox

  5. CrazyCarl says:

    Detroit Tigers and Austin Jackson!!

He was DEFINITELY the Yankee prospect that sealed the Granderson deal for the Tigers. He’s solid but not strong at the plate (getting stronger), but EXCELLENT in the field and faaast.

  6. Indians and Carlos Santana (not till may or june, though)

  7. Tim says:

Boston Red Sox – Michael Bowden (I think he might start showing signs this year).

  8. halos17 says:

    Braves & Jason Heyward

  9. Rays, Wade Davis.

    Thanks for the contest!

  10. Aaron says:

    Orioles – Jake Arrieta

  12. kevin says:

I pick the phillies and Dominic the boss brown

  13. Dehere says:

Rays and no doubt that Desmond Jennings will be making some noise this year. The only question is when and how many games he will get to play. If we trade Crawford early in the year, then he will get alot more time. If we get rid of Upton since he won’t sign a long term deal and seems to like arbitration, then he would look great in center.

  14. Anthony says:

Yankees..Mark Melancon…the bullpen needs someone to step up behind Rivera and either Joba or Hughes.

  15. Dan says:

    Phillies/Antonio Bastardo

    Thanks for the contest!

  16. Mrpokey says:

I agree with Offy Red Sox and Casey Kelly

    The Padres and Matt Antonelli

  19. Jeremy says:

    Detroit Tigers, and Scott Sizemore.

  20. ok, since my top 3 are up here already I’ll go Strasburg in Washington. I have a feeling they are dumb enough to strut him out max # of times even this season, after some time in AAA.

  21. max j says:

i am a diehard San Francisco Giants fan and the prospect i think will make a big impact is Dan Runzler

  22. Drew says:

NY Yankees and I think Stephen Strasburg will make a big impact in the upcoming season. Thanks!

  23. Jon says:

San Diego Padres and Mat Latos.

  24. james says:

    red sox/Ryan Westmoreland

  25. Anthony K. says:

It’s already been said, but I am an Astros fan and I KNOW Jason Castro will be the rookie who has the biggest impact on the team.

Most impactful rookie for the rest of baseball: Madison Bumgarner.

Blue Jays and Kyle Drabek/Travis Snyder.

  28. RWH says:

    Angels – Brandon Wood
It’s now or never for Wood.

  29. Chris C. says:

The Angels and I’m looking for Brandon Wood to make a huge splash.

  30. Dion Soskin says:

My team is the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and my prospect is Drew Storen will be the closer by mid season and probably 10 years after that! Thanks cool contest.

  31. Steve78 says:

    Cubs, KC’s Mike Montgomery

  32. Sean says:

Angels are my team and i think if we trade either mathis or napoli, Hank Conger will finally have a chance to shine

  33. Corky says:

    Seattle Mariners/ Michael Saunders

If Saunders doesn’t count as a Minor Leaguer due to his 120 AB for Seattle last year, I am going to pick Dustin Ackley.

  34. arfmax says:

Phillies and Dominic Brown, now that Drabek has been traded away

    Thanks!

  35. Giants-Mr. Buster Posey will be a beast!!

  36. tomseaver says:

Mets and the prospect I pick is Fernando Martinez

  37. Jared says:

LA Dodgers- Scott Elbert, Dodgers need someone to step up big time into the 5th spot in the rotation.

  38. Chris S says:

    Cardinals–Davis Freese

  39. HarryP says:

    Orioles-Brian Matusz will be ROY!

Baseball or Football for the choice.
    Thanks for the contest!

  40. Dustin says:

Tigers, and Gaby Hernandez might finally have a shot this year. I’ve been curious to see.

  41. Luke says:

Minnesota Twins-Aaron Hicks, to help out a slow outfield with Jason Kubel and Michael Cuddyer.

  42. My Bravos are going to play the waiting game as they always do, but when the time comes in late May early June, Mr Jason Heyward will make a big splash.

  43. nick says:

    Arizona Ian Kennedy

  44. Joe says:

Blue Jays and Travis Snider, has anyone looked at his #’s from last year in the PCL? Wow is all I can say, he’s a stud.

  45. Scott says:

Washington Nationals — Stephen Strasburg is the easy answer, Derek Norris is the non-obvious one

  46. Ric Knapp says:

Huge impact for the Oakland A’s will be made by Michael Taylor, watch and see!!!

  47. Tom says:

    Baltimore Orioles
    Matthew M Hobgood

    • chemgod says:

Tom I like this pick simply because I have gotten to know Matt’s mom over the past few months. Matt is very nice and I really hope he does well.

  48. deal says:

Phillies – tough one on the prospects. unless they have an injury, I would not expect a big impact guy so I will have to go with Antonio Bastardo to help them with some key innings out of the bullpen.

  49. Peter Graham says:

    Chicago White Sox
    Tyler Flowers

    Thanks for having the contest.
    Peter

  50. Garrett says:

    Braves – Jason Heyward

  51. MattS says:

Yankees…. Jarrod Parker for the dbacks… That is if he can come back to form from surgury…

  52. Teddy says:

Not sure if he still has his rookie status or not, but with Chone Figgins gone for Seattle, i think BRANDON WOOD will finally make his presence known at the Big League level in 2010. Its his spot to lose now, which has never been the case, and I think with 500 at bats, you could be looking at the next 35+ HR corner infielder, cut out of the Troy Glaus mold.

  53. stephen says:

gonna have to go with the Mets and Josh Thole!

  54. Brian J says:

I’m a Mets fan but I’m going to go with Jeremy Hellickson of the Rays. Unfortunately, I don’t think any Mets prospects will make a huge impact this year…

  55. mmbinger says:

    Juan Francisco, reds

  56. Jason says:

The Brewers…And I’m really hoping Alcides Escobar makes a huge impact.

  57. David says:

    New York Yankees- Jesus Montero

  58. Matt says:

Willie Mays Hayes – Cleveland Indians

  59. poishgooner says:

Chicago White Sox – Jared Mitchel
