We all know the risks of buying a high end product. Topps Triple Threads has usually ended up being a go to product that you know has some high quality stuff. Last year a member of Sports Card Forums (Lookin4BrownsCavs) went out and bought a box of 2009 Triple Threads baseball. He paid $170 for the box, which is a deal because eBay puts them at about $200 now, and got this as his one triple relic auto card:
This was the big hit, he also pulled a scrub jersey card along with it. That sucks, I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice looking card, but you can land it on eBay for $3 plus shipping. As far as the other card, I would venture to say it is worth less than the Marson card. So essentially he paid $170 for maybe at best $5 worth of cards.
That is simply crushing to the old ego! He isn’t alone either, I have read several horror stories concerning the product. Thumbs down on this one Topps. I give it a 7 of 10 on the suck scale. What is your rating?
Bad Wax 
Wow, what a waste of money, triple threads always looks good on paper, but in the end, this is the bottom line result. For every HOFer you have a dozen or so nobodys to fill the product. Never have or never will by any high end the risk is high, like a casino, the house always wins and in this case the house had a royal flush.
I am a Phils Fan and I LIKE Lou Marson and that box sucks – I would have had much more fun opening a Jumbo Pack of Topps Hobby.
Well considering that’s a 3% ROI I’d give it a solid 8. At least he got cards in his box which is more than one can say about the prior Brag story.
